<p>Actually, I don't think of Byerly as a "troll". Kathy Henderson is a troll. Byerly is, well, Byerly, and as long as his agenda is understood he has some valuable information for all. Ad hominem attacks, however, which mean attacks on the person rather than attacks on the argument, I don't care for.</p>
<p>And that is often Byerly's tactic. A thread was deleted due to his attack on me last week. </p>
<p>Frankly, I don't have any objection to Byerly's argumentative tactics--he's agressive and he wins because people get mad at HIM rather than his arguments. Most of the hackneyed links and studies he posts don't really have any merit. </p>

<p>And just curious- who actually gives if stanford or any other school raises an extra 4 bucks and spends it on coccaine smuggling? Look at Cornell- its endowment is 20 times smaller than Harvard? (that number came out of nowhere)- that doesn't mean harvard is 20 times better.</p>
<p>The point is that we out-fundraised the ostensible #1 institution in the United States. I found this impressive.</p>
<p>As for Cornell, it's usually in the top 5 fundraising schools every year along with USC and Penn. </p>
