i'm wondering
is the international studies program strong as i have heard
is the chance of going to georgetown, harv somewhere like that for grad work good if you are sucessful at vassar
how are english, french programs
kind of unrelated-is comparative literature in any way a practical major
given the recent attention on womens colleges as trainers of leaders, does vassar retain the strengths in educating women even tho it is coed
is there mock congress or debate sort of activities

i have a great relationship with my speech and debate coach, he's also my eng teacher and a great person to turn to for guidance and or a laugh
will vassar be full of teachers like these?

is it close enough to a train that you don't need a car to get there

thanx

looks good to me. and yes, if you are successful at vassar you can go anywhere for grad school (youll have as good of a shot as anyone is what i mean). to be honest, i wouldnt even bother taking the sat's again. your scores are more than fine. i had a 2040 and got in (with nothing crazy on my side like being a URM or winning some national thing or somethin). focus on writing solid and unique essays.
good luck.

thanks for your encouragement
i got my sats back yesterday and they went up so much from psats (205) so all of a sudden places that i'd looked at that i felt so underqualified for suddenly became a lot more realistic
as for a solid and unique essay, would writing an essay about being a raceless woman of the world be insensitive (i'm white but my friends call me asain by association and i'm a urm among my friends now and back to my old school that's becoming unsafe wheere there are mostly urms everywhere else)? i don't think the topics are out yet though
and then i was also thinking of writing one called "plant yourself" because that's the comment my speech coach always gives me regarding poise "maintaining focus" (his words) in essays, etc.
thanks again nice sn
