Hey everyone,

So I'm going to be a 2nd year at UCSB and I am in the CoE Honors Program and I want to live in a place where it's not very loud and has people who are very academically inclined and care about their grades a lot. The Scholars floor interested me since people who are in the Honors Program live there which means their GPA's are >3.5.. I've heard mixed reviews about the actual living conditions on the scholars floor though and had a few questions..

Are the people who live on the Manzanita Scholars floor actually studious and focused on grades?

I've heard from people that scholars floors (not sure which building(s)) people still tend to do a lot of drugs.. I was wondering if anyone knows if this holds true for even the allegedly isolated and quiet Manzanita (I am a very substance-free kind of guy)?

Also, a bit unrelated, are the substance-free floors really substance-free?

Thanks!
