Manzanita or San Raf?

Which one is better? I know I've asked others this question, but I'm getting too many opinions. If everyone can just describe these two to the best details that they can...that'd be great...thanks.

P.S. I'm a transfer student.

i have the same question

you may wanna check this thread has a lot of info about the dorms at UCSB:

<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=46936%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=46936</a>
also this one:

I understand that ely...but I have heard different opinions on the two dorms. I just wanted to get more ppl's opinion's on them.

The main thing that I've heard is that Manzanita is really nice, but really antisocial...while San Raf is the opposite.

Anyone want to dis/agree?

Go with San Raf. Manzanita sucks, and this coming from a person living in Manzanita right now.

I live in Manzanita right now. Well, I'm assigned in Grad/21+ house and it's awesome! We know each other real well and the house go out often. I really think it's all abot the RA. My RA encouraged us to eat dinner together and hang out from the very beginning and to this day we do that as a house and party and eat together whenever we can.

I have friends who are in San Raf and they're not happy. They wish they're in our house. I have some friends too who are in other houses in Manzy and they're not happy either. SO it comes down to convenience....bathroom? Yeh, in each floor there are 4 bathrooms that can be locked when someone's in there and there are only 16 students per floor. I'd say Manzanita all the way......

bump, anyone else?
