It was a typo? Because not only did you hit "x" instead of "c," you also forgot to hit the "t". How funny lol :)

wow i must have been more out of it than i thought! :)

Well I guess this is how language and orthography evolve... ;)

3.31.05 5pm, I'm already counting down the days and hours.
34 days, 23 hours, 20 minutes.
It will be nice to know the good or bad news hopefully before everyone else, and then act all surprised when the mail comes later...

Brown releases their decisions around the end of March, or from now until the end of March? Someone please clarify for me...I can't take another month of no sleeping and biting my nails down to the core. Good Luck to everyone :)

There are omens in emails too. JHU says "Congratulations!! Blah blah blah" in the Subject line. Otherwise, it says "Our Decision" or some crazy $hit like that.

Just curiosity, how do you people like your notification?

For some reason, I would rather talk to someone from the school, but that is only in an ideal world. That way, I could cry and give an oscar award winning "thank you! thank you!" speech. And if I were rejected (let's hope that doesn't happen), I could be all whiney and say "But...whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?" I don't know. Something interactive.

I always considered these emails to be analogous to those dreadful cheap letters that parents of marines killed in combat used to receive before Rumsfeld decided to stop being a lazy @$$.

I liked being able to find out online and not have to wait for the mail, but it made the actual letter not that special.

Is it BrynMawr that calls every accepted applicant?

Well after waiting so anxiously for the Princeton ED in the mail, I'm definitely finding out online as soon as possible. 5 out of 7 of my schools notify online I think?

Didn't know that Brown was the 31st though. Only one day earlier but it makes me mucho excited :p

iplayoboe, i totally agree! the online ea ( i was deferred from yale) notification is harsh! when you first opened it, just scrolling down and not seeing congrats! was the worst feeling ever ever ever...

I don't remember the Brown ED acceptance letter saying congratulations anywhere in the first paragraph. I had to really focus and read for a minute before I could tell what was going on. Or maybe I was just wigging out while I was checking and it just made it extra hard.

Georgetown calls all students after they are accepted.

It's a student program, and you get to talk to a student about Gtown life and whatnot. It was really nice.

And by the way, I'm totally freaking out because it seems like decision time is sneaking up on us pretty fast.

that's awesome! the personal touch...

brown didn't do anything for us. we've just gotten some letters, and they are all in thin envelopes, so you can't help but spaz out and think its a rescindment! (or maybe that's just me) lol

don't worry, though.
i recall one of those rotten-avocadoed rankings putting georgetown ahead of brown in selectivity. and so this ranking is right. right? :)

It's not just you, lol. You are not alone. I fear it every waking moment! :p

the guidance secretaries have taken to covering up the sample rescindment letter every time i come into the guidance office. they say i should stop worrying. yea right. lol

I've also received something like 4 or 5 letters from Georgetown, all congratulating me and making me aware of different things/facets of Georgetown. It's nice.

And funky- I hope there is some truth in the slectivity ranking that put Gtown ahead of Brown, because then theoretically I should get in, right? RIGHT? :(

of course. :)

I thought Brown was more selective lol

Maybe I am wrong...

Either way, no need to worry, calidan. :)

Thanks... I still have an impending sense of doom, though.

But I'm staying optimistic! :o

like always. good for you!

Yes... in typical Calidan fashion!

This is the same way I felt about Georgetown, too, so maybe it will all work out also? I certainly hope so. I just want to go to Brown so very, very much.
