March 10 decisions...

I was just wondering when we should expect to receive our letters? Is it ON March 10, March 11, March 12, etc...?

Letters get MAILED on Saturday, March 10. Some schools provide the news through other means at that time, including via Internet and e-mail. Most request that you do not call for several days...allowing time for the mail to do its thing before you inundate their office. Since March 10-11 is a weekend, you probably won't get through to anyone if you call anyway.

Good luck!

Most are online followed by overnight mail letters for acceptances.

does anyone have information on whether the admissions email the applicants on March 10th for Deerfield, Exeter, and Andover?

You should have information from those schools' web sites, with a personal log-in. Have you actually applied to these schools?

yes, but the only thing I see in the personal log-in is the checklist for the application materials.

I hope all decisions come by Monday. God, I can't wait. It's getting closer, but at the speed of a snail. :D

I received all of my letters of acceptance on the date that decisions were to be mailed. This was a few years ago so I don't remember the exact date but, using this year's date of March 10th as an example, I would have received all of the letters on March 10. If my memory serves me correctly, I was able to log-on to Choate's web site and learn that I had been accepted on March 10.

The letters came in large envelopes.

I hope they come on March 10 again, Kiddo. You bring us hope. :)

Historically, neither Exeter nor Andover provide answers on line. Last year: Andover sent acceptances overnight UPS to arrive 3/10. Exeter snail mailed on 3/10 (arrived 3/13). St. Paul's, Hotchkiss, Lawrenceville, Choate (and many/most others) post answers on their websites on 3/10, accessible by applicant log in.

i am excited . i have proff development days on the monday and tuesday anyway so i can sit at home and wait all day . :P
last year i remember getting my letter on a saturday . waitlist . i was laughing so hard cuz i kinda saw that happening . ( my essay was horrible . my ssat scores were just shy of 90s etc. )

"Andover sent acceptances overnight UPS to arrive 3/10."

When you say they sent acceptances, do you think they sent rejections at that point in time as well?

Most schools try to save on postage and only send out acceptances.
So you should just assume you didn't get in if you don't hear anything.
Not really fair but that's just the way it is.

actually i think they mail out rejections and waitlist letters the same day . ( but to come in the normal mail in a few days ) i live in MA and i got my waitlist letter like a day or two after the 10th .

Yes. I live in MA too. I was just wondering. I've had so many questions bubbling in my head lately!

i am too psyched for this day.....but i cant get to my mailbox that day...since its spring break in canada

I don't get my decision till March 19! :(

I'm going to wake up at 8:30 AM and go on the Choate Website and refresh at 9:00 to see them. :)

I'll wait for the Andover one, I guess. ^^

I will wait until my whole family is there. I probably will end up looking at my decisions a few days after March 10th so we are all psychologically prepared. The letters that will arrive in the mail will be a little hard to ignore, though. :)

haha, I don't even want to open mine. I have so many mixed feelings about acceptance/rejection. Oh well. I'm prepared for the worst, but hoping for the best!
