March 10th SAT Discussion

Hmm... Now I'm not so sure what the answer should be. Anyone else know? [for the koribilia one]

august what was the tangetial nostalgia question about i remmeber that answer but not putting it

I think this has got to be the hardest question in math:

Here is the solution (I normally get 800)

geometric series: a^2, a/2, ? x … everything multiply with 1/(2a) -> find fifth term

5th term should be 1/(16a^2)

aquamarinee: The underlined portion of the question was one of the, so I thought maybe it should have been some of the most densely populated and densely blah blah blah. It was the last question of the sentence error section, and it is rarely no error. So i thought there had to be an error...

the one about the ancient thing in georgia.. korablahblabhlahblah.. i'm pretty sure there was no error. the sentence said "one of the most.. towns" which is grammatical..

slipknot... tangential nostalgia refers to the radio question.. the question asks about the 2nd paragraph why he said that his society was very insular (haha which was one of the answers) ... the questions asks the purpose of that 2nd paragraph

and another question on the same passage: it should be universality for why he likes the radio right? not education value?

") Radio: 2nd pp question: tangetial nostalgia.. talking about childhood??"

I still have no clue what you're talkign about. Are you thinking about the question that asked the purpose of the second paragraph where he talks about how isolated he was in his hometown?

"8) Transition for Chinese narrative: praiseful to self-deception? correct"

That's not correct.. we decided it should have been disappointment to willed indifference

august's chopin:

i thought the geometric series question was fairly easy because I subsituted 1 for a and got 1/(16^2), which is right. Except that was risky because apparently another number may not have worked!

so if i missed two or 3 on the CR
like 7or 8 on the Math
and like a 10 on the essay
what would my score be? (im being optimistic lol)

the question about his childhood being isolated
the answer choices were volatile and insolar
i put insolar, which means isolated

it wasn't compliant to it was complies to which is wrong and should be complies with

"and another question on the same passage: it should be universality for why he likes the radio right? not education value?"

"the questions asks the purpose of that 2nd paragraph"

i definitely didnt put nostalgia for that Q. i think i put to explain his fascination w/ the radio.. er.. don't remmeber.

i agree topasz

Yeah, it wasn't self-deception..

"it wasn't compliant to it was complies to which is wrong and should be complies with"

i don't rememebr this question. help someone??? experimental?? definitely don't remember an unidiomatic compliant to

oops..
:"and another question on the same passage: it should be universality for why he likes the radio right? not education value?"
yeah, i got universality

i'm just curious but what is the consensus of people who have taken this test before on difficulty level compared to other months?

yeah topaz i agree nostalgia was wrong bc on that passage he was talking about how his town was isolated he did not allude to the latter nostalgia until later on in the passage
i got universality too.. looks like im getting most of the passage ones right might even surprise my 8 to lower

1/(16^2)

for that question i just completely guessed because i didnt have enough time to go about trying to solve it, and i guessed right! so luckyyyy

ok thank you... i will update the list soon

topasz... what do you usually get in CR?

Slipkn0t--Took the test in Dec, I think the math was so much easier this time, vocab was nearly equal, reading was much harder this time. Writing was easier.

what was the "compliant with" question?
