isolated and dejected

and on the last question i put: she felt diminished in her home

wat was the magical elixir, motivation for exploration or power of a phrase?

and the next one was not understanding the purpose of a religious chamber

I put motivation for exploration. Power of a phrase doesn't really make a whole lot of sense to me, as it wasn't his words that were powerful, it was the visuals he carried back.

oooo...the finding of a religious chamber but not having the meaning something something

i think that's what i put

Does anyone remember the answer to the cinco de mayo party SC?

I thought it was the power of a phrase

i thought it was the power of a phrase describing the "lost city"

was there sum sc with 'embarrased' wat was it about, i remember sumthing about medical advance ments

prelewd, for the question about feeling diminished, i think that was a choice for the same question as isolated and dejected, the question was like "the woman feels...." and the two choices i narrowed down to were diminished and isolated and dejected, i said diminished btw

for magic elixir, i put the phrase one....power of phrase, that what it emphasized. It drew interest...

no, it was a different question. it was the very last question asking how she feels at the last paragraph

No, isolated and dejected, and diminished, are two different questions. I had both as the answer. For the diminished question, the complete answer was "she contined to feel diminished after she moved to her new home" I thought it was a good answer except for "continued to" part, I don't know where it continued from...

Wasn't that one the "intimidated child" question? Wow, i have bad memry.

yes sir , it was the intimidated child question

and another thing, i dont think she was isolated, because no where in the passage did it mention she was alone, she lost her old friends, but she wasn't alone b/c she had her daughter, she felt diminished in her home because she was small and intimidated, just my two cents

nothing else besides 'isolated and dejected' came close, obviously she wasnt angry

What about the quesiton about what feelings she felt that she hadn't felt before?

What was the answer to the intimidated child question?

AND AND --> cloning passage question: why did the author use that Transition, "True," <--(i think)

For the "What best describes the 'feelings' Mrs. D hadn't felt before (end of paragraph 1)?" question, I think I had narrowed it down to either "isolation and dejection" and "nostalgia and serenity."

Or is the "isolated and dejected" question something completely different?

It said she felt better when she went back to visit Village St., which led me to think that it was "nostalgia," because she was still isolated there. Although "serenity" doesn't necessarily work...

Bah, I hate Critical Reading.

the transition was for a counter argument

Sweet. This thread's a lie. Nothing's verified here. :-D

it was nostalgia and serenity because she was missing the past
