<p>That's because the essay part will slow down the scoring process. CB wants to give the graders enough time to score the essays.</p>

<p>Also, according to rumor the first administration of the new SAT is going to be scored on a more lenient curve.</p>

<p>btw, thanks Elbereth, you definitely made me slightly more optimistic. :) And I think I just spelled optimistic (optimmistic? optemistic, eptimestic...) wrong and can't figure out how to spell it right...</p>

<p>the one month wait is only for the first testing....the scores for the following ones are posted as usual</p>

<p>this is true, which is why I'm going march 12th and june 4th tests. </p>

<p>I think once you've taken the test, you can assume where your weaknesses were to extra prep for the May one if needed.</p>
