March 2009 SAT scores

690 CR :frowning:
800 M
760 W (10 essay 74 MC)

2250

I was hoping for 2300+ but I don’t know if I want to retake a 2250.

Anyone know what the CR curve looked like I knew I got a couple wrong but I was expecting like a 760, I must have screwed up somewhere.

Also does the writing curve seem better than usual?

Anyone get a 790 on Math? I want to know the curve… no way this is true.

The Legend, I got a 790 on math

AHAHAHAHA. im a junior, this was my first time taking it since 8th grade. 2230 !!! ahahahahaha. didn’t have an admission ticket, had to bring in an electronic copy (and hoep theyd take it), was freaking out at 1am, no stupid sat study class, no stupid sat prep book. and i got a 2230!!! think what greatness i could accomplish with studying!!!

I got 760, so probably -1 = 790 -2 = 760

Critical Reading 670 92%
Math 520 51%
Writing 590 79%

Essay: 8

I know 1780 isn’t great compared to everyone on the board but I am happy w/ it since my first score was 1510. I went up by 270 points!

CR - 610 (uughh, what happened here) I’ll retake for a higher score, I’ll be fine
M - 790 (good for MIT, my main goal)
W - 740 (8 Essay :/)

TOTAL - 2140

I got exactly what I predicted. Not that good, but at least I went up barely from January I guess…

It seems as if they graded the essays really awkwardly this time around.

I hope I don’t sound like a total, idk, but do you guys think that I should retake a 2280? It was the 2nd time I took the SAT, but I KNOW that I can get anywhere from 2310-2400. So should I?

if you think you can do better there’s no reason not to…

EVeryone will tell you that it is pointless but go for it.If you believe you can do it,do it !

when you send your scores to colleges, do they see the breakdown of your writing score? or do they just see the scaled score out of 800?

the reason I ask is I got an 80/80 for the multiple choice part, but only a 10 on the essay. I’m happy to have the 800 in writing, but the essay score kind of shocked me.

I think the math curve was about
-1 780
-2 760
and for the person who got 790, I’m guessing you omitted one?

I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place…do I retake a 2250? I really wanted 2300 :</p>

I think you’ll be alright =p

edit: at Dolwhip

What college do you want to go to?

is a 2290 good enough for columbia university???

Okay so here it goes. I didn’t wait up all night for this, but I dreamed about it.

M: 800
W: 780
CR: 670

Combined: 2250

I am wicked happy…except for the CR section which is quite low. Really, was there no curve. I think that I need to have a talking with that indian passage so we can teach him some manners. Now I am wondering if I should retake that because of the lower CR score…

CR 680
Math 800
Writing 730

2210

=/ ehhhh idk if im too happy
my CR just cant get past 700 can it… ahh
that was my third time taking it and i dont think i should retake anymore.

do colleges really consider taking SATs more than 3 times like a crime???

CR-730 (usually my worst…)
Math-710 (i really thought i was gonna get 750+)
Writing-780

I’d already taken it in November so my superscore is a 2250 with a 720 in math and an 800 in writing. I feel like I can get higher in math, but would it look bad to take it a third time? And what if I were to get much lower in reading? Ah I don’t know what to doooo I know my scores are good but math is like my thing idk how I got so much lower for that.
