March 2009 SAT scores

Haha, we got the same score and breakdown.
God, I’m a terrible person - I think I’ll always be disappointed by anything less than perfection, even though my goal was a 2290. I think it’s b/c I have the notion that no one cares about the writing section.

It’s my first time though, so hopefully the scores will increase.

Uggg I did really bad =(
CR: 680
Math: 670 (first time I got 700)
W: 690

Total - 2070

I really wanted to break 2100, but w/e … the first time I took it I got 1980.
I guess I will be retaking in may…

Oh darn it. :frowning: This was my first time around and I did much worse than expected.

CR: 730
M: 710 (What?! How many wrong is this, 3?!)
W: 760
Total: 2200

Definitely retaking. Oh no…I really don’t have many testing slots left that are not set aside for subject tests. :(

I totally screwed up in Math! My calculato died in the first section…anyway, second time taking, Jan scores in parentheses.

M 700 (790…jeez. big drop)
CR 800 (770…yay)
W 780 (730…good. went from 8 to 11 on the essay)

Total: 2280. Down 10 from Jan, but 2370 superscore!

FIRST TIME TAKING SAT

We are pleased, especially after the diabetes 2 hour delay fiasco. Reading has been his weakest in the recent practice test and it’s what we worked on the most. Also happy with the 11 essay especially after discovering that less than one percent of takers will get a 12.

Total Score : 2120

MATH: 700 - 94%
CR : 740 -98%
M+V = 1400
W: 680 - 94%
ESSAY: 11

PSAT Junior 198 (thought it was 200 but he corrected me last night)
Outcome: 140 +

He was always happy with the essay–3 historical examples.

Not sure what the curve was on writing. He was having issues with MC in Feb. Math he thought he did higher on. Reading he thought was hardand might have fallendown on. Goes toshow lol.

8 essay + 80 mc = 770 writing
or so I’ve heard.

1900
math 680
reading 580
writing 640
i reach up to yall ******* soon(:

M: 680
CR: 670
W: 640

T: 1990

Darn, this was my first time taking the SAT, raising 210 points is very doable!

Aww, I don’t know how I feel about what I got. This was my first time taking it and- stupidly- I went in without any prep at all. Not a single practice test, not a single “what’s-on-it!” review. It felt great for the first few english sections but then I wasn’t able to finish the first math section in the alotted time because I sucked at it and I was totally frazzled and distracted the rest of the test. :frowning:
So, uh, this is what I got.

CR 710 (Eh. I could have done better, but it’s… alright? For a first time?)
Math 620 (Owww oww oww ow! But not a surprise, I knew I did terrible.)
Writing 690 (Bleh.) (68 MC, …9 essay. I guess it’s my fault for not giving any historical or literary examples hahaha.)

So a total of 2020. I don’t know. I guess it’s an OK score, I don’t know why I’m so bummed about it.
I really left that test center knowing I could have done a LOT better with some prep, though.
Can’t be lazy about not preparing. Never again!!

Now I really want to retake it soon for some reason. I was gonna take the subject tests the next two dates, May 2 and June 6, but now I’m tempted to take all three May 2 and retake the SAT I June 6. Hahaha. I know that would be stupid if I’m not totally super prepared though. Can’t get ahead of myself. Only one way to find out what I’ll do- see how my schedule allows me to prepare! (Darn AP tests, taking up all my studying time. lol.)

AHHHHH OMG IM SO HAPPY!!! first time:::::::
2390. 800 cr. 790 m (***… why is it that i always make stupid mistakes on math). 800 w (essay 11).
okok. never retaking this again.

good luck to everyone out there~~~~

oh yeah AND my psat was 210… so… this shows that 1. the psat isnt exactly the best indicator of your sat score. and 2. that theres huge room for improvement~~

How do you guys know your essay scores already?

Wow, I did basically the exact same as I did on the PSAT.
I guess that’s what I get for not studying (I went up about 30 points though).
1720.

@ icefire
its in parenthesis under your writing score. it also shows the multiple choice subscore

Math: 760 (I was finishing each section in 10 minutes and double checking…not sure how i missed two questions)
Reading: 710 >.<
Writing: 800 (Oh boy…the section that that was my weakness on the PSAT ended up being my strength)
Essay: 12 (Writing about the Supreme Court must work because I highly doubt they’ve ever seen students cite specific cases and dissents)

I used to laugh when people asked if they should retake 2250+s…but i’m extremely disappointed with this score (specifically the -2 math). I’m also convinced that score changes can be quite sporadic and make absolutely no sense.

icefire: go to collegeboard.com (logged in) and on the right side it says “view your scores” right under the link that says “for professionals”

i got a 220 on my psat… and was aiming for a 2300+ on the sat…

and this is what i got…

670 cr
790 math
690 writing (71 mc, 8 essay)

i wrote my essay using many strategies i have learned… went down to the last line… good structure… everything… got an 8… and i have no freakin idea how i got so many mc wrong on writing… i usually ace that section

and cr just effed me over so bad… 2150… ruined my day/week/month

idk when to take the subject tests and my SAT retake… may 2 or june 6 for which ones??? i have no idea im sick of this test

800-math
800-critical reading
800-writing (essay 11)

I’m competely speechless right now. First time taking it, too! I’m still wondering when collegeboard is going to send me an email telling me that they totally graded the test wrong and I’ve really gotten a 2130 like i dreamed. So happy I don’t have to take it over!

710 cr
740 math
740 writing
8 on essay…***…
very dissapointed
was hoping for above 750 in each

A god is among us.

Congratulations seisando!
