CR was somewhat expected, was hoping for around 750 range. Math was very unexpected, and was surprised when I saw it. I was expecting around 700 for that, max lol. Writing was a shocker. I always get around 750-800 on practice tests, so ehh not too happy with that.

Overall I guess it’s alright for the first time. I signed up for the May SAT even before I received my scores. Hoopefully 2300+

1890 last time. Only a 1900 this time. How bad will it look that I dropped 30 points in Math?

Also, is there anything I can do about this? I know I did a lot better in Math this time around but I made a huge mistake! On one of the sections, I skipped a couple of problems midway through in my mind, but on the answer sheet, I kept on filling in answers. For example, I skipped #15 and put the answer for #16 next to #15, making most of those answers incorrect. I know if I didn’t do that, I would’ve done much better on Math. Probably about 650 at least.

I’m also disappointed that I only got a 7 on my essay.

One last question, after this abomination, I’m planning on retaking in June (already signed up for the Subject Tests in May). Will it look bad that I had to take the test 3 times?

Turned out pretty nicely.
()=Oct scores
M: 740(800) (Seems like there was a huge curve on this one)
CR: 640(600) (40pts is an improvement, but I’m hoping for 700+ next time)
W: 710(580) (Wow!! HUGE jump!! Very satisfied with this score)

Comp: 2090(1980)
Superscore: 2150

I still want my critical reading score up to 700 so I will take the test an time or two. I’m pretty damn sure that it’ll go up again considering I did no prep for the first sitting and less than 1 BB practice test for second sitting.

To everybody who is satisfied with their score congratulations. To the others don’t panic there’s still time.

I was looking for this thread this morning! I was in disbelief this morning. I was praying for a 2150, but I felt like I did really well on the test (as I ought to have, I studied my behind off).

M: 720 (+70)
CR: 750 (+70)
W 780 (+30) (77/80 and a 10/12 essay. I got an 11/12 last time.)
Composite: 2250 (+170)

My old scores were 650M, 680CR, and 750W for a total of 2080. I blew away my goals. I’m so happy!

CR: 740
M: 760
W: 760
Total: 2260. Last time was 2240 and superscored is 2290. Not 2300 like I’d hoped, but 1500/2290 is really good. Whatever. I’m happy. No more SAT.

Critical Reading 790
Math 720
Writing 800 (80MC/12E)
2310.

Ehhh not really sure what to think about this. I set out aiming for 2300 so technically I met my goal but I had started thinking I could do even better than that. No clue what happened in math, I was sure I only had two wrong!

CR… 10 points away from perfection but I’ll take a 790 I feel pretty happy about that after starting in the low 700s.

And 12 essay - yay.

Anyway, I’ll probably end up retaking to raise my math score… I’d look a bit strange applying to places like Caltech or MIT with that score distribution :-P
