Oy vey. It’s so soon!

ok regardless of the numbers of JUST HARVARD (which is not the only good school out there), a good score will not hurt you and will most likely help you. yes it wont make or break your acceptance but it might help. and theres just so many things in the college application process you can’t control, so what’s wrong with taking advantage of the things you can control?

USNews numbers are old I think. And as I said, the ranges are combined for individual sections on USNews. They also discount the writing section on USNews for some reason…

Really, as long as you are around the midpoint or above for the college you are applying to scorewise, then you should be fine. After that, it is all up to the rest of your app to bring you through.

@cicero, with score choice, it’s now kinda hard for colleges to see that you’ve retaken. but yeah i agree which is why i’m hoping for a high score the first time around so i WONT have to retake it

A good score will help you, but it won’t help you much/at all after a certain point. Once you hit a certain range, your scores will not play that huge of a role in your acceptance/waitlist-ness/rejection. I’d rather be an applicant with a 2200 and an amazing rest of the app than a 2350 with a sucky app. I exhort you not to retake if you have a 2300 already. I can see maybe if you are in the 2200s wanting to bring it up, especially if one section really is dragging you down (ie under 700). But if you are above 2200 with all sections 700+ then you are golden.

the legend-the kid is probly a recruit

Yes, this is my first time (discount 7th grade) taking the SAT. I’d rather a high score so I don’t have to retake right before APs, but whatever. Alea Iacta Est.

So you’re a gambler now?

My only problem with retaking in May is that I won’t be able to take the Chem subject test when I am psyching myself up for AP.

are they going to be released at 12?

This is soooo nerve racking =/

a red one…convict…ga ga… whoaaa whoaa

i have so much that im finding out tomorrow, results for all kinds of things. and this anxiousness is killing me!

Eeek so soon! Good luck to everyone!

Are you guys 100% sure that scores come out around 2 am in the West?

I will stay up if it is 2, only like 30 min more then normal time. lol.

I wouldn’t count on them being up exactly at 2, since officially it’s not until 5 am PST.

dang i just checked the website since its 12 am and no scores.

how long until they are posted?

I heard from CC members its 2 am PST and 5 am EST.

On college board it says 5 and 8.

Which is it?

If tomorrow wasn’t a school day I’d probably stay up until the scores were posted. Buut…
