March 2011 SAT- What did you think?

Writing was actually the section that gave me the most problems. I had trouble deciding on about two of the questions… if I get those wrong, then I’m pretty screwed.

The math section was really good I’m expecting an 800. The writing was good (but I rushed so I might have made some careless errors). For the essay, I talked about how news (one form of reality entertainment) was very beneficial to society. I talked about how the coverage on Frank Johnson, Bill Gates (his charity, The Gates Foundation), and Daisy Bates (a journalist who advocated for desegregation), inspired many people to take action and do good deeds. Is that a good essay? Please be honest because I think I screwed it up :(.

The Reading was HELL. I had 4 readings so that was probably the expreimental one. I’m expecting mid 600s for that

^^^PLEASE TELL ME IF MY ESSAY WAS OFF TOPIC OR WAS BAD

Got experimental math. FREAKIN relieved

Did pretty well on Math, except for the fact that I ommitted one of the harder problems involving prime numbers or something. Hope that was the experimental section.

Writing I have to say was pretty easy this time. I was just a little paranoid that I only got one “no error” on the error identification section. Also, I didn’t have enough time to finish my conclusion on my essay -___-

CR…I am SO glad that I am taking AP Language and Composition. The class helped me so much when it comes to identifying language, tone, and purpose compared to what I did last year.

Hoping for a 2100+…>.<

Critical Reading … Easier than most. Vocabulary seemed relatively easy, I went with intuition on like 3 of them and got them all right. They seemed like useful words and not just archaic words (besides for one question) so I was able to guess most of the meanings.

Writing … I would say about medium. I never find writing too difficult and usually can pump out an 800, but I’m a little bit torn over one or two questions. Overall it was not bad though. Some of the most specific essay topics I’ve seen as well, but I don’t think they were too hard if you just named some examples and started writing.

Math … Easier one of the sections. Had a few more logic questions than usual, but that’s my forte so I was good with that. I missed a dumb triangle angle question though >.<, so it looks like a 770 for me again.

I found the essay prompt (I got the photography one) to be pretty easy for me because I’m a B&W photography student at my high school! The critical reading was pretty easy for me, much easier than the practice test. I feel like I got an 800 on that. Math was a little tougher, but I think that I got around 770-790. I got an experimental writing section, so I’m not sure how I should grade myself on this, but I’m pretty sure that I got at least a 770 on this part.

Hey, everyone! There is a Yahoo new article that talks a lot about this forum!
