March 2017 SAT Thread

If there was an experimental section, then that would’ve been provided to all students.

DD also took SAT today. She felt the math was very hard. She said there were things she had never seen before. She was doing prep on her own, maybe not enough. Hoping for the best, and a curve.

@Shadowsych Then how would the reading section be scored? would it be out of 4 sections instead of 5?

I didn’t get the experimental section.

The test was ok but I found myself rushing on the math. I am praying I got a good score!!! I hope we all did well.

From my knowledge, the experimental section is for those who took the test without the essay. It’s usually the last section of the test (the fifth section), which is the experimental. And it’s not considered in your test score. SO however you did on it does not impact your score. The section is purely for feedback and research purposes.

was hard real talk

took the L on no calc

@JulienEd I never have trouble on no calc, and I was rushing homie.

Is anyone considering canceling scores?

what happens if there is a curve? and are there still those questions that they deem “unscorable?” and don’t count toward your score?

There was an experimental section (section number 5) only for the students that did not take the essay.
There was math as well as English (but not both per student).

i had no time to double check my answers on reading…

I thought the SAT didn’t have a curve…

I didn’t have too much of an issue with the reading and writing sections, but had to make educated guesses for five problems in the no-calculator math section. I hope math won’t have an ultra-steep curve :S

The SAT always has a curve.

Just took the March 2017 SAT Test! Compared to the October test that I took, I felt that this was harder. The reading felt especially horrendous. Did anyone else take this test? If so, how was it? How was the reading? If it was hard, did you guess or run out of time on any? All replies are greatly appreciated!

Reading was an L.

Score predictions??
Reading:-6
Writing: -2
Math- no calc: -0
Math- Calc: -0

I made a super dumb mistake on one of the Calc open-endeds, but I think that was the only one I got wrong on math. I really hope CB comes in clutch with that curve!! :((

Sadly, @dannydalt64 , curves are rarely generous on the Math portion of the exam.
