Gosh, we are in admissions anxiety here dude. Don’t scare us like that again. EVER!

Haha, well ■■■■■■■, Boston. My hat is off to you.

Guys there is no correlation, just calm down.

are any of u guys from Florida and if so have you spoken to the Florida admissions officer?

I’m from FL, but no, I havn’t. Why?

i heard the florida lady was mean and just wanted to know if anyone else heard the same thing.

There’s no “look forward to see you in the fall” message. And the timing doesn’t really have an effect on anything imo.

@DREWALL - I talked to the Florida lady. She was very nice.

For what it’s worth, my daughter’s time on the decision page is 1:16p. She was accepted to Georgetown SFS EA last December. She’s her class valedictorian with the highest GPA in her school’s history. Her Duke interviewer told her Duke would be crazy not to accept her.

Don’t want to make anyone with the other time paranoid and I don’t want to jinx my daughter, but I thought this might help some.

I got into Georgetown EA as well, and I am the coolest person in my school’s history. Additionally, my time was 5:35 PM.

Can we just stop with the 116 vs 535. It doesn’t matter. This is ridiculous. We will know in 2 days and 53 minutes. None of this speculation will do anyone any good, and as I’ve already said, after EA decisions were released, the EA applicants tried to find a correlation between time and decision. THERE WAS NO CORRELATION.

I have 5:35 and firmly believe I will be rejected haha.

1:16! i think the 5:30 v. 1:15 thing actually might make a difference. for those who got accepted to uva yesterday, our homepages said that we owed $250 dollars (aka the enrollment fee). maybe this is similar?

I got 1:16. I feel I have a pretty complete app, and without going through all the stats, pretty good grades/ranking/essays/etc. My dad graduated from Duke as well. However, I don’t think the 1:16 or 5:35 means anyone is necessarily accepted or rejected. And even if it were transparent, nobody at this point could really tell one way or the other what it means for them. I say we just wait it out. We will know soon enough. Trying to read into things is never a good thing and will only make you more stressed than you need to be. I’m very hopeful for my application but also realize there is a chance, as in anywhere, that I will not be offered admission.

^ I Agree.

I still havent recieved an email from Duke telling me my pin and password! what should i do?

make sure you’ve checked your junk folder, and if it’s not there, at https://app.applyyourself.com/?id=duke-u it says:

Disclaimer: Obviously, I’m reading too much into this and this is going to be a little over the top. I analyzed this data because I was curious for myself, and of course because I’m a closet math nerd and do this kind of stuff all the time. I collected people’s data that I could find who posted their times and who have previously posted an SAT score on CC, and converted ACT scores into SAT. This data by no means comes from a simple random sample, and there is obviously more to college admissions than SAT scores. Feel free to judge whether these results are statistically significant.

Good luck to you all! I am quite positive I will not receive an acceptance letter. Certain actually. But if it means anything to you all…5:35 international.

perhaps the time difference is based on region, or perhaps its based on nothing at all… it almost definitely doesn’t mean anything… you are all just looking for some reassurance when really there isn’t any

^agreed.
i got 5:35 if anyone cares
