March 6, date of beginning of New Wave

i would think that the new wave for lower level scholarships started today, with my acceptance and several hundred others. I would expect from now until sometime early next week this wave will end.

I don't know if the people who get accepted in this wave get scholarships. I hope they do though.

do the scholarship notifications come seperately? i got my acceptance letter today, but it didn't mention anything about scholarships.

if you didn't get a scholarship letter with your acceptance letter - you're probably still being considered. until the rejection letters are mailed out at the very end of the notification period, i'd say no news is good news.

Scholarship notifications come later.

socal?: Actually, I believe the opposite is true. If you have been accepted, admissions has already decided whether or not you getting a scholarship. If you don't get a letter soon, you are most likely not getting a scholarship.

so this recent wave includes non-scholarship applicants?

When my daughter was accepted in early March 2006, she didn't hear about a merit scholarship until she received her financial aid package in April. We had figured since she wasn't one of the lucky January scholarship interviewees that she would be only offered need-based aid so we were quite excited to receive some merit money too. My understanding is that the majority of the acceptances still go out around April 1st, and if you're accepted in early March it might bode well for you to receive some sort of scholarship, though not as big as Presidential, etc. Good luck to all of you!

Mine had no mention of a scholarship, so that might be so.

I'm hoping for a scholarship notification, but I doubt one will be coming.

Mine was postmarked March 5.

But I havent received any scholarship info yet.

I got mine yesterday, March 6, No mention of scholarship

was it just a plain package, or does it say congratulations on it?

I am hoping so badly that this wave is for scholarships...

I am hoping some sort of scholarship notification will be coming too. My parents keep on telling me "congrats on getting in! but don't get your hopes up cause there's no way we're paying for all of it"
