Wednesday, March 7th, 2007
8:00pm
Beckman Auditorium
California Institute of Technology
1200 East California Blvd.
Pasadena, CA 91125

The event is free and parking is free after 5:00pm.

The lecture will be conducted by John H. Seinfeld, Louis E. Nohl Professor and Professor of Chemical Engineering, Caltech. The event will discuss how: "humans have embarked on an environmental experiment of unprecedented proportions. Over the last century or so, atmospheric levels of trace gases have increased markedly. The
Earth's temperature results from a balance between incoming solar radiation and outgoing radiation from the Earth. The buildup of so-called greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide, leads to increased trapping of Earth's radiation and warming of the Earth. Particles in the air arising from human activity also affect the current understanding of global climate change resulting from greenhouse gases and particles."

IS ANYBODY GOING? :) I'M PRETTY SURE THAT I'M GONNA GO
