Well I’ll tell you right now, a lot of you are going to be disappointed. lol

I’ve embraced myself for the worse (2080).

^You mean “braced” yourself for the worst, lol. Otherwise you would just be sitting there hugging yourself. :P

I think I will be fine as long as I score above 2200. I’m really hoping for a 2300+, but I’m not 100% sure that I got it a this point.

@alihaq what did you get on the Jan SAT and what was your breakdown?

January SAT:
Composite - 2270
Math: 770
Reading: 740
Writing: 760

why did you retake? Your scores are already competitive for all schools.

I was actually quite disappointed with those scores, and the worst part was that they were only a few questions away from the 800 in each section (for example, I only missed one in math…). The main thing that pushed me to retake was that one mistake, because I definitely think I’m capable of getting an 800. However, I also believe I may have improved in Reading as well and we’ll soon see how I did in Writing.

Best case scenario: I get a 2300+ (in one sitting or superscored)
Worst case scenario: I get lower than my first sitting (although I don’t believe this will happen according to the consolidated lists)

@shaheiruddin: competitive, yes. Excellent, no. High scores yield more favorable decisions.

@alihaq717: Or maybe he did mean embrace. That’s likely what I’ll be doing.

How is 2270 not excellent.

It’s 99 percentile… I think 99+ if not mistaken.

I would consider a score at or above 2300 excellent.

when you guys wrote practice tests before your first SAT, where your practice test scores HIGHER than the real thing? or were they on par?

(want to know if there is usually a drop from practice test to the real, 1st SAT someone takes)

Math - 800
Reading - 700
Writing - 760ish, 10essay

Superscored with January is a 2300 =]

Generally they were right around the score I got. For example, I took a practice PSAT right before the actual one and scored a 220 on the practice and a 219 on the actual test (that one point difference is quite minuscule and can be accounted for by luck). Before my actual SAT, I also had practice test scores that were similar in range (2250-2300).

Well, as the final wait is winding down, I wish the best of luck to all CCers, as well as those not on the forums!!! Everyone here seems dedicated and determined towards success, though what we perceive to be “success” at a given moment may not be most critical or most rewarding in the long run…so whatever happens tomorrow, happens:)

I Feel That Ill Be Lucky If I Get A 2000
My Goal Was A 2100 Though. 17 more hourrs!!!

cross my fingers for nice improvement.

1900===>2050+

This was my first test and I’m hoping to cross 2200!
