i’m hoping for a 2200+ . I also have fluctuating CR scores. PSAT 70, Online course test i took yesterday 630.

^ some of those online course tests are a bit ridiculous, i’ve gotten mid 700’s on QAS but like 650 on some of those. the pretest and one of the tests are previously administered tests (i think #6) so trust those. I’m not the only one who thought this, in a thread a while ago other people also realized these tests are a bit weird. so just ignore that and acknowledge most what you got on QAS ones. and same here, hoping for 2200+.

yeah, and fresh, i think you prolly got better but for saturday just realize you are capable of getting something like 740 and that you can and will on test day as long as you’re focused.

my highest cr was 780 and writing 780 (though both weren’t consistent) but i know im capable of getting that again as long as im focused.

good luck guys

I’m taking the SAT in March too! good luck to everyone!!! Its my first time and I’m really hoping for a 1900+

Yea my CR scores fluctuates too much

Out of the 3 times Ive take the SAT, I’ve got around 700 each time

PSAT Junior Year for CR: 800

someone explain this…

Snorlax, thanks for that post. I was going over my errors right now and realized that some of them were really stupid; they are basic reading errors. How can I make sure that I’m in my best state during that Saturday morning so that I don’t make basic reading errors.

whats up mabs? ha third time ive seen you on a thread… howd that math level II go from january?

btw, anybody have any essay tips for a 12?

@silence

haha Im doing fine. I keep taking it cause I need a higher score for the schools I want to go to

as for the Math II, not so good lol

The following are from Nov to December
Math II: 770=>760

Did better in USH though
US. History: 790=>800

any essay tips for 10-12? Any structure to follow? What do you guys think about http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/645763-how-write-12-essay-just-10-days.html ?

I followed that guide mentioned above and got a 10 on the January test. Just write as fast as you can while providing 2 to 3 clear examples that support your argument.

yeah, fill up both pages and 3 examples is usually good for the essay. there’s no guarantee but most likely it’ll be around 10+ as long as it makes sense from what i’ve heard.

i think to stop careless errors we just have to go back to the text for every question, even on the easy ones just to make sure. i know a lot of times i dont go back cause i’m sure im right since i just read it but going back will only take a couple extra seconds anyways so its worth it just to make sure.

yeah, this prolly would’ve prevented me from making some mistakes on the psat. its like making sure i reread math questions after i finish before i go on because i try to do that but can’t force myself to do it after every question.

im so worried… i have to get like 2100+…
does anyone know when the scores are going to be up once we take the test?

April 1st @ around 5 AM EST.

Going for 2350+ too! Ideally 2400, of course… but isn’t that everyone’s ideal?

Got a 234 on PSAT w/ only self-study, so high expectations, but today I took a PR review test and got like 610 in writing and 650 in CR! Is that just b/c PR was being weird? I should study from the actually CollegeBoard released tests, right?

yah, cb only. if you got 234 psat then you can just ignore that pr test since its obviously off.

yeah i know this sounds stupid but what is pr test?

Princeton Review Tests. I find it comical because my school is giving a free SAT from PR the same day as the real SAT, and it seems like I’m wasting 45 dollars to take the real one because I’m only a soph, but PR Tests are complete crap, so I’d rather take the real one.

2320 on January test…aiming for 2400

I’ll be taking it for my first time. 205 on my Junior year PSAT. I’m aiming for a 2250+.

I’m going to cram at least 1000 vocab words, read a grammar handbook, do a practice test from BB, and do ap english hw one week before the SAT and hope to get a 2100.
