March SAT CR Thread

Boston: That is what I said as well.

I put th emovement of the birds feet
the entrance is not a series f events
And i think the answer is eclectic
The passage was too positive
And i don’t think multiple copies was an artistic weakness
Just my thoughts

Another question similiar to the unexcited dinosaur paws was that the researchers in Greenland had their mammal search overshadowed by an exciting discovery, and that the information provided by 2D footprints were helpful, but not noteworthy or something like that.

^I think intuitively, it felt like that should be the right answer, based on the placement of the statement and what was stated later, but it appears the "passage more directly supports the refutation of the statement.

What was the point made later in the passage then?

@Billabong - confirmed

The point made later in the passage was: The sailors who (500 years previously) went looking for treasure.

@Boston boy, what point did that statement lead to? The answer “Contradict or revise a previous assertion” is directly supported by the passage.

The dry footprints were valuable but not noteworthy

They just generally seemed to be talking about the history of the area. But that’s wrong. Too much inference for a SAT question.

For the “500 yeras ago” question, I think the answer choice I put was somthing about making “amends” to something said earlier. I don’t remember the terms “revise” or “contradict”

I know one other answer for the Africa passage is that Legends surveved over objective fact

What was the question for the 500 years one and what were the other answers?

Also, it didn’t specify “integer” values for this one
For a value N, 2N must be divisible by 8. Which of the following MUST be true?
I. N is divisible by 8
II. N is divisible by 4
III. N is divisible by 2

so couldn’t it be divisible by any of them?

Can someone tell me how it’s cadences in the storytelling one?
There was also one with dichotomous, entrepreneurial, munificent, nefarious and one other choice for a major person setting up financial planning for his city, what was that answer?

i got that objective fact too

@Xanonymous2010 ii&iii…u should go to math thread…

i think i got humorous for one of the things with the two passage one unless that was an option for the judge one, then i definitely put ill advised and am getting confused…

Matt: Cadence -the modulated and rhythmic recurrence of a sound especially in nature

This is exactly what the passage was talking about.

Don’t remember the 2nd one. Experimental?

Almost 100% it was artistic weakness considering it said some good about him then said “BUT” showing he had a weakness

Legends fill in for blank areas of the map is confirmed.
