Again, that part of the passage was not saying that Peale’s paintings of Ben Frankling were bad, rather that they were characteristic of his painting style.

@Billabongboy, how does copying his initial painting show that he selects/uses the best elements from all systems?

Delontewest, agree with both

Back to the fidelity passage, I think an answer was Passage 1 presents a problem, and Passage 2 suggests a course of action.

I hope billabong is right. i put eclectic :(

It did say he was somewhat not very varied. Like he didn’t usestyles and used his own naturalistic style.

AGREE WITH BILLABONG

he definitely wasn’t saying the painting style was bad. the whole passage was about how his unconventional painting style was GOOD!

Billabong, Passage 1 presents a problem and Passage 2 suggests a course of action is definitely incorrect.

@Everyone who put eclectic. Why don’t you read the definition of eclectic billabong provided. That does not describe the painter’s repetitions of his own painting in anyway. Eclectic does NOT mean unconventional.

^Good but not perfectt. Just because you’re good doesn’t mean you can’t have weaknesses, lol

Billabong: Absolutely not…

Not what I put. Don’t remember the right answer though.

there was a question about the camera in court passage: I remember putting for the answer choice that the camera’s would distract people (something along those lines) but i think my choice was wrong. Does anyone remember the question or know the correct answer choice?

The only other option for that question Jersey was that Passage 1 defends a practice, while Passage 2 mocks it.

And that was definitely incorrect.

He wasn’t saying that the style was bad, the author was just describing his way of painting. There wasn’t any information about how his particular style was a “artistic weakness”

I put that Passage 1 defends it and Passage 2 mocks it.

I believe that’s exactly what was happening.

“Conflicted; assertive” is the correct answer over a choice that had “animated” for the first passage? (this is the same question?)

There was also this question with “qualified defense” etc… is this the question billabong is talking about?

it was definitely artistic weakness. it went on to talk about how the future replicas of B. Franklin never compared to the original one made in 1787, because he never paid that much attention to recreating specific details. i specifically remember reading something along those lines.

and problem and course of action is definitely incorrect. i put the choice where it said defends a qualified position and passage 2 rejects it…although that may be wrong.

@billabong what were the other answer choices? Yours is definitely incorrect. Passage 1 lamented that while adaptations cannot be judged on only its fidelity, some degree of similarity has to exist between the original and the adaptation. The second Passage talks about how measuring success through fidelity is stupid and idealistic.

@mzargar721, I believe that is the correct answer. Passage 1 defend a qualified position and Passage 2 rejects it completely.

why was stage = phase?

why not platform
