Communist: Thanks. I remember putting that answer now.

Was autobiographical one of the other choices for the question about the painter?

Was autobiographical one of the other choices for the question about the painter?

@ alihaq

Um…no it was that he wanted to teach others, something like that.

What do u think the approx curve will be for the CR section for this March SAT?

“unpretentious manner is the style of the painter”

I really don’t remember putting that answer. What were some of the other choices (if autobiographical wasnt one of them)?

^ yes that was correct

Because it said he contrasted with the descriptive painting techniques of the Europeans, and the author said he painted honestly and straight forward.

It wasn’t unpretentious manner, it was unpretentious quality/qualities. Maybe that’s why you don’t remember it?

I put unpretentious manner as well. Wait, that’s not the same question as commercial acumen, right?

Hm… it’s sort of starting to come back to me, but I still feel like I may have put something else instead. :(

If only I could remember some of the other choices!

@Boston: Nope

Is it just me or am I confused because like 5 different questions had unpretentious in them?

what would -2 on cr be?

^Probably an 800

-3 is sometimes an 800.

–

what were the question for this one? I remember for one of them i put something along the lines of autobiographical manner (the one that referenced his exposure to decorative art in europe) because they said he painted realistically.

Hm…what’s a -4? 750-760?

What were the 2 Africa passage Q’s?

“Imagine!”

and the one that map drawers drew legends and made up stuff (something with objectivity?)

“imagine!” exclamation mark was so people can consider from the sailors’ point of view

-0 so far!

“Imagine!” was the author tried to put the reader into the point of view of the sailors.

The other one was legends sometimes were emphasized over objectivity.

communist, i said imagine! was to invite the reader to consider from the sailors’ point of view
and i also answered that they use legend in the absence of objective fact

This is a random question, but this was my first SAT. I just read they only grade 3 CR, so there’s a chance they might not count the Africa one, correct?

Hm…why wouldn’t it be to demonstrate the sailor’s relief? They just crawled on land…
