March SAT CR Thread

^No, everyone got that one Opie, so it’s counted.
Also, wasn’t the Imagine! question like the easiest one? That shouldn’t even be debatable.

For the unpretentious one, I put mimicry because I thought he did realism which essentially is mimicry. I guess I got it wrong.

Imagine! was located in the passage after the sailors had already reached the island, and the option was about the sailors seeing land. That part of the passage was meant to correlate with the sailors find all the fruits.

for the imagine question

I was between two choices

one was like “to allow the reader to see it”

the other had “sailors” in it

dblazer- I think the “mimicry” answer choice claimed that he was “mimicking” other styles though, which is incorrect because the passage stresses that he was uninfluenced by what he saw in England.

No, they’re counting it. The section they’re not counting includes the one about the man with his daughter Yo, the internet blogs, and animal migration.

What was the question for sentence completion with the answers fascinated/prospects?

H.G. Wells had a fascination for technology because of its prospects for humanity.

Wait, what section are they not counting?

@Opie: When they say they only grade three sections, they mean that they don’t grade the experimental section. Because the Africa section was not experimental, they will grade that.

Thanks MattNC, organism, and dblazer

what was the answer to the last question bout dinosaurs i think i put that it confirms a previously held belief

It didn’t confirm a previously held belief: it was new information about dinosaurs and how they walk with their heels downward or something to that effect.

anyone remember any more?

no i def put heels first as an answer to a different question im talking about the last paragraph where it shows how birds are actually similar to dinosaurs

dblazer: i put imitate for the realism question too, i really thought that none of those things were given in the lines referenced

It doesn’t confirm a previously held belief, that’s for sure.

I believe it was revealing something new about dinosaur movement.

boston1993, I got that too
