March SAT CR Thread

^i remember that one but really vaguely :frowning: can somebody remember the details?

one of the answers was something like “suggesting an entirely new idea,” which was wrong because some courts already do that.

I can’t really remember the wording of the right answer though…

i think your right there was something about the main idea

^I was stuck between “advocating an entirely new idea” and “giving a recommendation.”

I believe it’s “giving a recommendation.”

Also, in this section’s questions, did you get a ladder of letters? (EDCBA)?

I put “offering a recommendation”

EDIT: yes I got that ladder. It looked cool.

giving a rec

its not entirely new

yeah, it was giving a recommendation. I also got the ladder of letters. :P

^ know i remember! the answer was giving a recommendation! another added to the list!

^Yes, it was giving a recommendation, since he proposed for judges to decide…and it said that it was currently in use by some nations.

I was torn up between that question cause I was OCDing about that ladder of letters. I’m pretty sure I changed that one to “recommendation” though. >.< I hope.

Which section was the experimental?

either I got -3 (so far) or -2 and 1 skip.

What’s my verdict?

Low 700s? idk

EDIT: scratch that. Thought this was math.

no way -3 is like 770

ive taken many practice tests in the collegeboard practice book and i got -10 wrong all the time and ended up with a 660-670…let’s hope the same is true for this test.

^Low 700s? No way; that seems harsher than the Math.

Does anyone know what the experimental section was?

-2 and 1 skip could be an 800. So far the only one I’m unsure about is “autobiographical” just because I don’t remember it at all.

Broccoli provided an example; “nature of fresh foods” was an exaggeration, the author didn’t generalize about all fresh foods, he talked about what happens to broccoli when it travels long distances.

n0va: My experimental was a passage from someone’s autobiography. I think there were different experimental sections though.

What was the sentence completion Q with salutary/unconventional?

does anyone remember the question for “films shouldn’t simply be judged based on fidelity”??

@BlazingFire: It was something to do with medical doctors saying art therapy wasn’t good or something.

@Sententia: The Africa passage? o.O
