@mindy
that would be around a 700.

Let’s say I got an 8 on the essay but 78 on subscore. what would that be?

770^ not bad

i don’t think the math curve is too harsh at all; i missed one question on the math section of the sat twice and i received a 770 both times…

as far as crit reading, i think that might be too lenient too; i missed 5 and i got a 720

If i missed 2 MC, omitted 1 MC, and got 2 grid-ins wrong…what would that be?

not really sure how to calculate it…

Do you count the ones that you skipped? it says 800 (-0), so would you go down the list based on your omitted and wrong? I skipped about six, and maybe 4 wrong on the M. So would I look at the list 10 down or four down?

anyone?..

@■■■■■■■■ in Jan I made a 78 subscore with a 9 essay and got a 770, your probably at a 760 or so

@sportsfan that would be a -5 in math, so a 700

@GasolKobe multiply your wrong answers by 1.25 and add that to your omitted answers, so that would be -11 in math. Thats a 640.

What about no omitted in W with 4-5 wrong and 11 or 12 on essay

and 6 omitted on CR and like 5 wrong

5 wrong in writing would be about a 68 subscore, with a 12 essay that would be around a 730.

6 omitted and 5 wrong in CR would be about a 660.

why do you multiply by 1.25 and not .25?

One gridin wrong and possibly one multiple choice wrong in Math? (the score) Also, I’m estimating like two or three wrong on the CR, and another 2 or so wrong on the Writing. Total score?

@GasolKobe - Because you not only get .25 deducted, you don’t gain 1pt since you got it wrong.

What color column do you guys believe that each section’s curve will compare to?

in recent tests the average has been green while hard sections have been yellow. The curves nowadays arent as lenient as they used to be.

just so you know, the curves always tend to be harsher than people think

in last years march curve, -4 raw in CR was a 740, which is the harshest ever. CC’ers had thought it was hard and thought -3 would be 790
