How does the TI-89 make testing easier?

"How does the TI-89 make testing easier? "

you can plug equations in and it’ll solve it for you. honestly, it’s not necessary for SATs, but i guess it’s a good checking source.

i can basically do the entire test without thinking

For this question in which the answer you have is

“0 is difference in average students at both schools”

how did you manage to get zero. The Question they wanted the students enrolled PER year.

For one school, 100 students were enrolled per year
and for the other, 50 students were enrolled per year.

there were about 4 spaces between the dots for each. soo
100 X 4=400
400/4=100

50 X 4=200
200/4= 50

100-50= 50

??

kareem, add up all the students enrolled every year, divide by the years (5) to get the arithmetic mean/average. it was the same for both, so it was 0.

@kareemcarryl

The quick way to do this was to realize that the line was linear and thus, the middle point was also the mean. Since both lines intersected at the middle point (i think third point), the averages must be the same. Thus, the difference between the two averages is zero.

@wanderyonder: the 110 answer was the one that had an isoceles triangle and another triangle inside. if the top angle was 40 degrees and the bottom two angles are bisected by the sides of the inside triangle, what is the measure of the top angle of the inside triangle.

I had 110 for that one. And I feel like I’ve seen that question before.

thanks for clarifying
is that on the list? cuz i did’nt see it, but i might have missed it. if not, we’ve got one more.

anyone want to bother making the list? lol

damn only 6 more, c’mon lets get this done, i have just 1 wrong so far and im begging for the other 6…, more than likely their the easy Q’s right?

yeah at this point, they were probably just like numbers 1-5ish from sectoins that were easy, so that’s why no one remembers.

jjtheairplane im in the same boat lol
come on ppl update lists please!

what would 1 wrong be 770 or 780 or what?

i remeber an allowance on on there, number 1, 4 more weeks i think, somthing like that

@wanderyonder: yeah the 110 is already in here

oh yeah!!!
he needed $250, and already saved up $75.
each week he earned $25

answer: 7 weeks

Jim has 175 saved up and he saves $25 a week, needs to get to $350

Thanks for the consolidated list! -0 so far!
