7 weeks needed to save $250 (he already had 75, he gets 25 dollars a week)

phone bill: $25 + 40 cents for each minute over 60
guy used 80 minutes, what his phone bill was

Answer:33

might have been experimental though.

I think it was 7 weeks? $250 dollar cell phone, already had $75 and would earn $25 a week, how many more weeks would she need until she could buy it. 250=75+25x, x=7. That the problem you were talking about?

was the big and small circle with different radii experimental? i got 6xpi

pianofish: that was experimental.

Same i have -0.
at this point, ppl who have -0 probably do’nt have much to worry about.
unless you made a bubbling mistake or a really bad math/logic error, you probably have an 800.

@pianofish: exp.

i’ve had dreams of not bringing a calculator to the SAT, and i just flat-out panicked. in the larger scheme of things, this is all silly, but i think the whole no-calculator biz is more like some sort of paralysis for me and reminds me of bad tests when i have absolutely no idea how to do anything. that’s why i stopped taking the SAT at my school :(

TI-83, only used it for 3-5 questions though.

Was the one about the guy who went running 2 miles per weekday and 5 on Saturday experimental?

-2 stupid mistakes. what is that, like a 750? hoping for a 760 :/

Someone without math experimental please confirm. The answer was 15n, by the way.

no, that wasn’t experimental (i didn’t have math exp)
add it. good job guys!

Excellent! I’m 95% confident that I got an 800 at this point. Unless I misbubbled. :(

15n for the weekly runner

running guy is not experimental. whoo!
and i have a question–do any of you guys remember the exact question and any of the other answers for:

 1. the angle bisector with 2x-angle = y-angle
 2. 9 is the difference of the triangles’ perimeters

i’m trying to remember the thought process of this without assuming any of the implications first…so difficult! you guys are damn good at this.

was the two circle one experimental?

@nishpa & @pianofish Those were experimental.

2)
there were two similar triangles (diagrammed)
first one: 6, _, _
second one: 9, _, _

the sum of the second minus the sum of the first gave you 9.
(sorry i don’t remember more lengths)

@snarkymanatee
lol no need to repost :P

2)
there were two similar triangles (diagrammed)
first one: 6, 4, __
second one: 9, 12, __

I believe those are the sides.
