<p>This thread is mostly for people who are in a band at OSU (if there even are any such people on here) Hey so there’s a large chance I’ll be attending here next year, and I’d be interested in trying out for The Best Damn Marching Band in the Land. However, the problem is that I’m a sax player, and have only fooled around with brass instruments in the past. I do consider myself a pretty good sax player and musician, but would it be worth learning a brass instrument over the summer to try out for Marching Band, or should I just stick with sax and do an Athletic Band, because I’d be horribly demolished at Marching Band tryouts? If I should try out for Marching Band, what instruments are in more demand? I’m leaning towards low brass, but anythings still a possibility.</p>
