marijuana

My son was arrested for possession of small amount of marijuana. I need a lawyer at Penn State for him. Does anyone know a lawyer they would recommend??? Has this ever happened to your child at Penn? Any advice???

This site has resources. How old is he?
[Pennsylvania State Laws](http://norml.org/laws/pa)

It’s a little bit unusual that you would refer to Penn State and then refer to Penn when they are two different schools.

I would tell my son that he is 18+ and needs to get his own lawyer and take care if it himself. He broke the law, he needs to deal with the consequences.

^That’s a mistake.

Get him a good lawyer. When you’re dealing with the court system, it’s not the time to teach your kid a lesson. If you want to give him an additional punishment, go ahead. But don’t handicap him in this situation.

I hear Jerry Sandusky has a good lawyer!

Seriously- Penn or Penn State? I might be able to get you some names.

I’m going to guess that UPenn parents never make the mistake of mixing it up with Penn St. for a couple of reasons.

I completely agree with collegealum314–in both #5 AND #7. :)

Kids being kids, and our ridiculous drug laws being what they are, there are probably quite a few attorneys in the vicinity of any largish school that have ample expertise in dealing with the local prosecutor on this issue.

I think the first step is to tell your parents. ;)
