Good news that it worked out and she learned from it. She sounds like a great kid.
Contact the student Ombudsman office - every college should have one. They are a great resource.
Thank you for posting your story and the outcome. She sounds like a great grounded kid.
She is and in another state, this wouldn’t even be an issue. However, I wouldn’t want marijuana to mess up any kid’s health or bright future so its good that she is in the right state and right school. Everybody makes mistakes, its all about learning your lesson and not repeating it. I think this rubbish in media about legalizing weed is what making even smart kids think that its no big deal.
To @WorryHurry411 :I am very sorry for you and your daughter. I wish you both the best.
To anyone who can answer: how would authorities handle it in this case? Don’t states have different laws regarding and handling this?
Wow. Drug tested weekly because they smelled weed in the car? That is preposterous. What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty?
Let this be a lesson not to make oneself smell like illegal substances.
So don’t walk around the campus or the dorm on a weekend?
Yeah, OK.
She attends a religious school in Texas. Of course this wouldn’t even be an issue a secular public school in Colorado.
