Is anyone here in favor of marijuana decriminalization and/or legalization? Sometimes I feel like the only one.

Legalize legalize legalize!

Coming from someone who smoked every single day in high school, I am completely against it. I wouldn’t want a world full of past-me’s walking around.

Not everyone who smokes marijuana does it every day.

It would actually make police put all their effort into arresting people for doing legitimately bad things.

there’s no legitimate way to test if someone is high on marijuana, anyone could do it at anytime. Would you really want other people on the road, or the people say, making your food to be high as balls? I don’t think so.

I’m pretty sure the people who work in my school’s cafeteria are high.

You clearly got high anytime despite it being illegal.

well played, well played.

I don’t smoke and probably won’t smoke, but I’m all for the legalization of marijuana. Obviously, as with alcohol (and even cigarettes), there would have to be laws as to where and when would be appropriate. Legalizing marijuana doesn’t mean legalizing marijuana while driving, or while working. I’m sure we could figure out something to that affect. We spend billions of dollars every year fighting a considerably less harmful drug than, say, alcohol (or even cigarettes). I’d rather place that time, money, and effort elsewhere.

Don’t support legalization, but it’s less annoying and probably less harmful than cigarettes, since people don’t smoke 20 joints a day. (That would be pretty weird.)

There are many harmful substances out there besides marijuana that can be harmful to people so i’m not against it, i mean it has its advantages as well. I’m not supporting smoking marijuana but this plant is pretty potent enough to ward off a few illnesses from what i hear. so why not ?

yea i definitely support it.

even before i started smoking i was for the legalization. like fuzzle mentioned maybe the cops can focus on more legit crimes, so even if you think weed is bad and dont smoke it think of that. also the greedy government can make some money of this. haha. :)

btw, i dont even smoke a lot. maybe 2-3 times a month.

I guess, if you look at it this way, I do support it. The inevitable ease of obtaining marijuana would cause an at least 90% increase in usage. (I’ll stand by that number.) This would act as like a filter-weed-out system for people who choose not to smoke and actually be productive, therefore decreasing competition. I approve.

Not so much ward off illness as make the patients feel better. It’s less harmful (and less potent) than morphine, but still probably fairly good at dulling pain. There are some people who say it cures cancer, but until such a result is in the New England Journal of Medicine, I would take those wild claims with a grain of salt…

I condone legalization of marijuana…and I don’t even smoke. It’s because SO many people get caught and get their lives/futures ruined every year for weed, when so many others who smoke don’t. It’s just not fair.

Also, it’s been proven that marijuana is not addicting…it’s much better than binge drinking at least.

And plus, it’s good for the economy =]

Legalization and major taxation. I don’t smoke.

^^hey tomjones. congrats on princeton lol

Crime sucks.

I was just going to comment on that, but TCBH beat me to it.

But he had a funnier comment, so it’s okay.

Like we need MORE dumb/lazy people??

LOOK AROUND

haha
