Marine Option NROTC Scholarship

So I have been waiting for a while to see if I was selected to receive an NROTC scholarship for the past 6 months (had my interview in January). I look on the Navy site and it just says:

"Your application is at the Marine Corps Recruiter Command Headquarters for final processing and selection determination. Selection decisions will begin in late August and continue until the end of April. Once a selection decision has been made, your new status will be reflected."

As you can probably guess, I haven't heard a word and as far as I know in the USA, it is May! So what do I do? I check the DoDMERB website and it says "Complete-Hold". What does that mean? Any advice?

Under colleges and universities forum in College Confidential (this site), there is an sub-forum called Service Academies. You may want to post this question on that forum as that forum has many knowledgeable people regarding getting into the Services. Though the emphasis is on the Academies like West Point, they could better answer questions like NROTC.

You might also check [United States of America Service Academy Forums - Powered by vBulletin](http://www.serviceacademyforums.com) They have a forum dedicated to ROTC as well as one dedicated to DODMERB questions.
