Marist College Early Action 2019

@lottechar‌ haha! It is!!! Good luck with the rest, though!

@AStudent2015‌ I did, with a scholarship! That was actually my first acceptance  congrats!

I didn’t apply for FFE either. I would’ve loved to, but honestly, I don’t think I would be able to handle my first semester of college in a different country! Haha. I do want to study abroad if I am accepted, though!

@courfeyracs Me too! Best part about rolling admissions

I completely understand that! I traveled with my French class last year to Paris and since then, I just want to study abroad somewhere. My parents weren’t keen to let me apply to schools overseas though, so this was the closest I could get lol.

@AStudent2015‌ I gotcha! Good luck with it, then! I just went to Florence this summer and it is absolutely incredible. All of Italy is, really! The Florence campus is actually a lot of what drew me to Marist

I agree, it’s going to be so much of a change just within America #:-S Marist seems like it has really great travel abroad! I’m thinking Junior year since that seems to be when most people do it.

@lottechar‌ yep, same here! That and the short term programs. I told my parents they’re never going to see me in college! :))

@courfeyracs‌ I’ve been putting so much thought into colleges though that I’ve barely given any thought to where I’d want to study abroad. I just know I want to! I do like the Hansard Scholars Programme at Marist.

@courfeyracs‌ Wow that sounds like quite an experience! Do you speak Italian?

@lottechar‌ Oh, I hadn’t heard of that, but I just looked it up and it sounds incredible!!

@AStudent2015‌ It was! And no, I wish! I speak enough to get by, and I’ve taken Spanish for 8 years, so the similarities were definitely helpful in understanding what was going on  it was a trip with my school- we did Rome, Milan, Florence, Paris, and Amsterdam in two weeks >:D< and since then, I’ve been dying to get back to Europe!!

@courfeyracs‌ Wow that sounds amazing! You got to see all the great places! I’m very jealous lol

I applied to Norhteastern, BU, Umass, UNH, URI, Keene State, Roger Williams, Quinnipiac, Temple, Emmanuel, and Marist! My decision if I got into Marist would be between Marist and UMass

23 days… I’m SO nervous about these letters… :-<

Me too! It’ll probably be in the mail only, right? I’m guessing since I got access to the portal only by a letter, not an actual email. Which means we’d actually get it the first week in February…my birthday week… :open_mouth:

@laurrodes‌ yep, letter only! Ahh, good luck! I’m sure you’ll be fine, though!

I wonder how long the letters will take to actually get here, though! I live about an hour and a half away, so I’m hoping my wait isn’t too bad!

I’m a few states away : P But it will probably be priority mail.

Less than 3 weeks!

I’m so busy with school right now that I don’t have much time to stress about it, haha.

Lucky… I’ve been doing nothing but stressing out. :-S

I wish they mailed decisions earlier! All my friends are hearing back from their top choices and im still here waiting…

@laurrodes‌ Me too! Some of my friends are starting to finalize where they’re going next year and I’ll still have eight to hear from in March. D :

@lottechar‌ oh wow! I only have 3 schools left, 2 of which I should hear from by the end of this month. I’ve also hear d that Marist’s accepted students day is not until April!!! I was hoping to have made my decision before then :frowning:
