<p>Is there a lot of maritime stuff in Houston? Boat shops, marinas, etc? </p>
<p>Also, for current Rice students... how interested do you think Rice kids would be in a boat building club/organization for students to design and build wooden boats together?</p>
<p>I know that Galveston (city right next to Houston) is around an hour away and it sits right on the Gulf of Mexico i believe- theirs alot of boat shops, seafood, etc. places here.
