I want to major in marketing, but I also would like to do a dual degree with engineering. Anybody know of schools with this option or something similar? Or perhaps a school where I could take classes at the engineering school with an engineering minor? P.S. I'm looking for undergrad marketing, which seems harder to find than grad.

Sorry. I hit a button twice and now there’s two posts. Reply to either!

Lehigh Integrated Business and Engineering (IBE) is a combination of the two. It’s an accredited business degree with a major in any business area offered (marketing, finance, etc.), plus a built-in “minor” in engineering, to learn how business and technology interact. Some students take additional credits (typically 20-30) to earn a second accredited engineering degree. It’s a very difficult and highly selective honors program at Lehigh. If you have Ivy-caliber stats and show them the love (they’re big on demonstrated interest), it could be right for you.

Illinois Institute of Technology offers some programs combining business and engineering, with concentrations in both marketing and engineering. I think they may have some dual and coterminal degree programs as well. When we visited, we spoke with a student in this program who was very enthusiastic about it.

@Chardo I’ll definitely be looking into this program more. It seems to have exactly what I’m looking for! Thanks for the info!

@Parentof2014grad I’ve looked at IIT and I didn’t even realize they had majors like this! Thanks!

There are more and more of the co-terminal programs being established each year at IIT even if there is not a specific one right now.

@xraymancs Thanks for the update! I still have a couple years to go before applying, so I’ll keep watch for new programs. I did notice that quite a few said that they were new.
