i'm a junior at the moment majoring in criminal justice and i'm planning on switching to marketing. i want to major in marketing but it would be like completely starting over. i don't know if it's worth it. switching would mean i have at least another 1 and half year. anyone have any input or insights?

First of all, why did you decide to switch to marketing?

i don’t have an interest in criminal justice careers anymore. one of the reasons i chose it as a freshman because it was academically one of the easiest majors. job security worries me.

If job security worries you then marketing is a terrible idea. Look into accounting or finance. If you don’t have an interest in criminal justice careers then this shouldn’t even be a question. It’s an extra year of school vs. the rest of your life.

i haven’t had a math class since highschool. i’m required to take calculus, what’s the best approach ? should i take the placement exam and start where they suggest (which could be the very start)?
