This is to those who have majored in marketing or who currently are. How do you like the major? Are your classes difficult? And do you know the job outlook or difficulty of finding a job in the field?

I'm thinking about doing entertainment marketing. Does anyone know if those types of jobs are stable?

Marketing is one of the easier business majors. The classes should not be that difficult. I don't know that the job outlook for marketing majors changes much. I have no clue about entertainment marketing but I would guess that would be a difficult industry to get in.

Well I would like to go to NYU, and entertainment marketing there is just a regular marketing major with a concentration in entertainment, media, and communication technology. Like, if I concentrated in that, do you think I could get a marking job in another industry if I am unable to get one in entertainment?

I'm positive that you would not have a problem getting a non-entertainment marketing job. I'm sure you will be taking many of the same classes as general marketing majors, just with a focus on entertainment (and regardless, will be seen as a quality prospect coming from a good school like NYU).
