Which majors would I choose for Marketing?

At some of my schools 'Marketing Management' exists, but no such thing exists at others.

What should I be looking for?

Thanks.

sociology or partly social and behavioural psychology.

Are you sure?....that seems really wrong to me.

Marketing is tough to define. No particular major really prepares you for marketing. What you will need are analytical skills (to look at AC Nielson data), basic accounting skills (to make sure you stay within budget), strong people and negotiation skills (to work with Ad agencies, sales folks, and teams in general), and in interest in learning about society (this IS your target audience).

You can take classes to shore up those skills but I wouldn't say a specific degree is necessary.

Ya, that's true. In fact, you don't even need a degree.

Thanks SonicOne.

abcboy...you need to stop posting, period.
