UCLA should have a top notch program

Good business school + large city

Except UCLA does not offer Business to undergrads...only Business Economics.

For undergad Marketing, Penn (Wharton), Michigan (Ross), Cal (Haas), Texas (McCombs) and UNC (Kenan Flagler) are the best.

Other good programs include UVa (McIntire), Indiana (Kelley), USC (Marshall), NYU (Stern), Florida (Warrington).

kingsitaliano, ASU is a decent university, particularly its honors programs and its Business programs.

ASU is HUGE. In fact, it could very well be the largest university in the US, with well over 50,000 students. It is known for its party scene, attractive student body, spirited campus atmosphere and decent athletic programs.

The Business school is primarily known for its MIS program, although it has a well regarded Marketing department.

It is relatively easy for International students to get into ASU. I would guess they accept over 75% of applicants. A solid B+ student with a decent ACT/SAT (25/1800) should have no trouble getting in.

In terms of cost of attendance, ASU is reasonable. Tuition is roughly $18,000/year. Room and Board should come up to $8,000/year. Books, supplies, medical insurance, travel expenses (assuming you fly home once or twice each year) and miscelanious costs should come up to $5,000-$10,000/year. Altogether, the cost of attending ASU will probably come up to $30,000-$35,000/year.

Only US citizens and legal permanent residents are eligible for Financial Aid. I am not sure if ASU has any Merit scholarships for international, you will have to contact the university's office of financial aid directly.

Most of this information is availlable on the ASU website. You should surf the varuous university websites to answer most of those questions.

Georgetown has a great marketing program. However, Georgetown is going to be much more selective (difficult) for admission. If you get in, I would definitely choose it over ASU - especially as an international student. Washington DC is much more cosmopolitan than Phoenix.

Good luck.

Thank you UCBChemEGrad.
I really appreciate.

Do I need to pay to login in USNews website to see the top 25 graduate schools for marketing ? :D

Hi!
I finally decided and I applied to Arizona State.
I chose ASU for:
- great Marketing program (Carey in top #25 B-School in America)
- great place to live because is not so expensive, great weather and near California (where I have friends)
- huge school, great facilities, in Phoenix area and not in the middle of nowhere.
- huge sports scene (cardinals, sun devils, suns)
- great place to play tennis (full of clubs and training centers)
- great social life

I also chose ASU because it's not a university that I have to study 24/7.
I can enjoy my college experience but also study in one of the top business school in the country.

I took 94 on my TOEFL test.
I really hope to get it!

Thank you for all your previos information!

I took 94 on my toefl test, never took a insuffient grade in my school reports, quite good tennis player (but not enough for a D-1 team), 84 on 100 in my final exam in HS.
Grades in my HS: mostly B and C (like 70% B and 30% C) then some A and few D.

Oh, I forgot to say that I also was in the top 8% of my class.
