With all these colleges, everyone's getting depressed. In the end you get happy people, you get sad people. Chancing around kinda gets people worked up, so despite what other people say, theres always something that makes you special. Every person's a little different and all these schools are such a wild shot for anyone, from 2400's to Valies to your 600's (well not 600's) but you get my point.

They'll look at you and hopefully they'll see past the paper and common app # and into who you really are. If you don't get in, thats fate, apply as a transfer the next year or go with a different school. Harvard isn't everything. As long as you work hard, you persevere, you'll get as you deserve in life. That's my take on things

Colleges are weird and irony is a wonderful friend to have around. So in the end, after all of this, sit back and laugh a bit at what happens. Example: I have two friends who applied to college a few years back. They both applied to Columbia and Cornell. One wanted to get into Columbia SOOOOOOO badly. The other the same with Cornell. Well, fate is a funny one. The one that wanted to get into Cornell got into Columbia. And the other got into Cornell.

I was about to say. "Oh, its just a game" but its totally not.

Or is it?

Life in general can be played like a game. You can have fun playing it, learn from your mistakes and adapt. Have fun while your playing, savor the moments the stress so you can appreciate it in the future. No one can tell your future and who knows how it'll end up.

And as a final note. The janitor at my grandpa's retirement home attended Harvard for undergraduate and Grad school. Look where he is now.

So don't get depressed if you don't get in. If you do, rejoice. If not, there's tons of places that are just as great. It's their loss, you can go slap them in the face for it later. Work your butt off to be better than any of their graduates and make them regret ever rejecting you in the first place.

Then call them stuck - up buffoons.

It's never the end of the world. So keep on a smile, be happy with yourself and your life and skip and relax every now and then.

Its your life. Enjoy it. :D

And, for the time being...keep your fingers crossed everyone! Good Luck!
