Marquette University 2023

My DS got admitted today to Health sciences , PM-16K, 1420 SAT & 3.98 W GPA from IL. Still expensive in my opinion.

I was admitted on October 29 and applied October 12.
GPA: 3.34
SAT: 1150
OOS: NY
Hispanic
Tons of EC

  • Volunteer on a weekly basis
  • Captain of the Soccer team
  • Went on a foreign exchange
    Just to name a few
    I was given Père Marquette Scholarship of $15,000
    Hope this helps!

@gsbc12 Congrats!

@lightshock23, I agree with you. I can’t remember if this came with the acceptance letter, but they do give you a Financial Aid readout of what you can expect to pay. With the $18,000 PM scholarship, tuition + room&board comes to $38,000 a year. That is a lot.

@lightshock23 @AH1310 If you can afford it, its totally worth it though… Marquette is a fine school. And to be honest its in line with some of the other offers (Total Cost - Merit Aid) so at that point it becomes what the the best school that you can afford. They were accepted. They always have that. Good Luck!

My son applied last second before the Dec 1 deadline. Notified acceptance a couple of days ago. 3.8gpa, a lot of honors/AP classes, 1500 SAT, great ec’s. Received the Pier scholarship. I like the small size of this college and I really think it’s an up and coming school. From a cost standpoint it’s really quite good compared to most other private colleges. He still is awaiting decisions from other schools, so we’re in a wait and see mode.

My daughter just accepted last night. 2.89 GPA 1170 sat and received $10,000 scholarship. Captain of a sports team and many other extra curriculars.

My son applied in August and received acceptance in September. GPA 3.5 and ACT 32, Some AP classes, a lot of ECs and volunteer work. PM award $16,000. It is the most expensive on his list (he got a lot more money from some of the other private schools) but the size is perfect and he also got into the honors program so being able to live in that learning community in Straz is a benefit for him as he is on the quiet side. Right now it is number two on the list so we shall see.
