How is it perceived in investment banking? semi target, non-target?

Is it well respected, or a joke on the street?

I just thought it's a good school, for it's consistently ranked #8, and its really low price. Would you guys recommend IU Kelly over it? I'm pretty smart, but not a genius like the rest of IBs, but with an incredible personality. I just want to get into a really good MIDDLE MARKET and work myself up...

I'm not very religious, and I went to a Catholic school for years; I survived it, and now I'm going to try to survive the Mormon religion. All for the business school.

I really appreciate it...

Marriott and Kelley are good programs. You mention investment banking...I don't think these schools are top tier programs for employment in Wall Street investment banks.

My suggestion would be to choose a school where you likely want to settle down and be employed. For Marriott, I'd say go there if you want to settle in CO, UT, and other western states. For Kelley, I'd say go there if you want to settle in the midwest.

Good luck to you.

Mariott is consistently a top 3 school in accounting. If you want to do banking regionally (like in NV, UT, CO, even CA), mariott might be a good choice. Like the above poster said, if you want to live in the north-central part of the US, Kelly is a great school.

If you want to do ibanking in NY, I'd suggest shooting for NYU or an Ivy.

goldman and the rest of the major banks recruit at byu. How many do they hire. who knows, but they do have a presence and seem to like the school.

SouthPasdena, I looked at GS's recruiting schedule and I didn't see BYU on there. Where are you getting your info that they recruit at BYU?

from the byu career site
