Marshall Business vs. Dornsife Econ

I am an incoming freshman and I am deciding between these two majors. I just wanted to know which major would get you better job prospects in the private sector as a financial/market analyst? I think I'm leaning a bit towards Marshall because of the reputation, but Econ is in the biggest part of campus and I can choose other classes that I'm also interested in if I go to Dornsife.

Go with Marshall. If you want, do a minor in econ if you feel you want to take additional econ classes past micro/macro. Consider an accounting minor instead also which will help you with financial statement analysis if you want to be an analyst. Will give you the option of possible doing cpa one day too if you want accounting as a backup option. A popular combo is double major in business and accounting if you want to be a an analyst for an IB or hedge.

Marshall-You can minor or double minor in other subjects that interest you. Marshall is a great school of business with a strong global outlook.

If I want to do econ, can I possibly do a minor in business from marshall?

^ yup! applying for internal transfer to Marshall might be tough but doing an minor is easy! I think you have to fill out a short essay. But yeah check out the Marshall website to see the different minors available related to business.
