Marshall Undergrad concentrations

Hello,

Could somebody with some knowledge about Marshall please clarify whether concentrations are still available to UG students(and if so, a link to a list of concentrations would be nice)? Their website's information isn't completely clear to me- the language used can be taken to mean that concentrations for business administration majors now are either no longer offered or optional, not sure which.

And by the way, I read some things about Marshall being particularly good for entrepreneurship- could someone give me some more info on the opportunities available for UG students?

Thanks

When you apply to USC, you choose a first and second choice major and a pre-professional interest is optional. I’m applying for Marshall with an Accounting B.S. (freshmen only) major as my first choice. There was also an option for me to choose a pre-accounting emphasis on the application. So while you are applying to Marshall, you can definitely choose a concentration such as Business Administration or Accounting.

That’s about all the information I can give you, sorry! I just opened up my common app for USC and found this  I’m sure your question will be answered soon! perhaps Georgia Girl or alamemom will come to the rescue!

^accounting or business administration aren’t concentrations, they’re majors. A concentration is something more specific like marketing, supply chain management, etc. and it would only be for b.a. majors not accounting. It’s something you choose junior year in college- so it’s not on the app.

There are concentrations within Marshall. There are explanations about these on the USC Marshall School of Business website.
