What are the girls like that stay at Martha Cook? I've heard that they are no fun. And would it be easier to meet people if I stay at a bigger dorm?

I don't even go to Umich, and I'm a guy, but I hear that MC is a small dorm and it's pretty quiet. But its also really nice.

Epsilon, are you trying to transfer to Michigan? You seem to know an awful lot about it.

It has its own tennis court.

It has a full-size copy of Venus de Milo that is very heavy and damn near impossible to move. Trust me.

I wrote this on another thread, but I'll just paste it here in case if it helps:

I lived in martha cook last year and am living there currently as well. It definately has its pros and cons but it all depends on you.

Pros:
-big carpeted rooms
-quiet
-teas, dances, sit-down waitressed dinners
-homey atmosphere
-most of the girls who live there are not into crazy partying, so your roommate most likely will not be an obnoxious drunk lol
-the best part is location, its close to everything on central campus

Cons:
-too quiet at times, a lot of girls are kinda anti-social
-the food is bad and there are very few choices since its such a small dorm
-we have a lot of the rich white conservative girls, some who are quite stuck up
-sometimes the rules are really dumb and they go overboard with them (like when your dad isnt allowed in your room at 10 am)
-not worth what you're paying for it

But its up to you. I really liked it last year, but this year..it's kinda getting to me. The only reason I chose it was because i didn't want to live on north campus (whcih is prbly what I wouldve gotten since i enrolled so late). But a lot of girls really like and and stay here all 4 years...

LOL, no, I'm just a senior in high school...but:

-Cousin goes there
-Dad went there
-Grandpa went there
-Friend goes there
-Another friend goes there
-Another friend's brother goes there
-Reading these forums provides me with a ton more information than I should know :)

So most of what I do know is all hearsay, but what else is more accurate?
