Hey,
Just wondering if there are some serious martial artist ppl here who are kind of or will be interested in joining campus martial arts clubs? If yes, state ur style and rank.
Good Day.

Black Belt here

Black Belt in TKD, thinkin about joinin' the Sport TKD club

You guys make my Green Belt in Karate Do look bad. :)

Will test for 2nd Dan Black Belt (TKD) in March

Wu Shu green belt from like 6 years ago, but I've slowly been moving towards performance/stage fighting (coreographing a staff fight for my school's talentshow)

Blackbelt *** Taekwondo, ... the only thing that is good for me is that I won a couple gold an silver medals at state tournaments, and got invited to junior olympics. I would like to join a club, if I get admit in 2 yrs. I am only a sophomore now. That lady for MIT here in Charlotte said MIT is big on martial arts.

darn. The inititials for World Taekwondo Federation coincide with W7F

lol they stand for *** haha

My dad teaches me different stuff like Strikes (Russian) and use to teach me a Vietnamese style, but stopped cuz he didn't started learning Strikes.

why doesn't MIT have Kung Fu?

Hey I've never taken any type of martial arts in my life, but I'd be interested in doing some at MIT. Can I still join?

same here...

the TKD clubs at MIT welcome members of all skill levels...it's even possible to start your training at MIT and earn a Black Belt By/Before you graduate

1st Dan Black Belt in Ryukyu Kempo (Pressure point fighting style). I also crosstrain in many other styles including modern arnis, small circle jujitsu, tai chi, and aikido.

forever21 why doesn't MIT have Kung Fu?

Cuz no one took the initiative to start one...hey, if you think you got what it takes...the talent, the leadership, the gut, try it, try to start a kung fu club. Although, it is kind of funny since there ARE so many asians (chinese) on campus.

I stopped at red-black belt (whatever THAT was...I always thought Master Kim came up with more in-btw belts that there were....)

Does fencing count as martial arts as well, lol?

fencing is actually very popular in MIT. If you do not have the experience, you should definitely take the PE class to tell for yourself.
