Marxism

I thought it died. Until I met the trolls on this site. God help us if people still support Marxist ideas. Those people always end up leading revolutions that lead to ruthless dictators. I guess freedom isn't cool anymore, because it's not "trendy" or "angsty." Marxism is the new, cool, fresh way to rebel. People like that are why civil liberties are violated. At least respected, distinguished Professor's laugh when people try to defend it. Thank god there are some educated people out there. Who all happen to be big fans of personal and economic liberty.

Well, yeah, but now you look like a ■■■■■ with this thread. Thanks.

Young people tend to be idealistic, so they find Marxism to be the perfect solution to the world’s social ills.

I do not know about fully accepting all of Marx’s ideas is right, but it would be ignorant to just dismiss all of his ideas. After being brainwashed from fox news too long I actually find some of Marx’s ideas really refreshing.

I happen to agree with Joseph Schumpeter, capitalism will eventually be replaced by socialism.

Marx didn’t intend for a nation like Russia to adopt communism, well before it had industrialized and became a developed economy. Rather, I think it’s more interesting to watch what’s happening with extremely modern economies like those found in Northern Europe.

oh boy - here we go…

Most people who use his name haven’t actually read much of his work.

Read all three volumes of Kapital, then we’ll talk.

^I rather like his views on death, and our capitalistic system being fetishist… really interesting viewpoint, I had a lot of fun with his unit.

I had a lot of fun with his unit. ~ Itachirumon

Ohhhhh, I’m sure you did.

"Well, yeah, but now you look like a ■■■■■ with this thread. Thanks. "

How is this ■■■■■■■■? Because I am not an idealist, disillusioned far left liberal who believes in utopia’s?

Our most decorated poli sci Professor says, everytime someone tries to bring up Marxism, that it is a complete waste of time to even give it consideration. The only Professor who supports that theory in the poli sci department is a political economist who uses wikipedia every class to look up the name of international conferences, their year and their purpose. Meaning he is not even well versed in his specialty.

It is a utopian philosophy, and obviously despite people’s best efforts, can not be applied with tyranny ensuing.

Lenin’s “Imperialism” is pretty stupid, too.

“Rather, I think it’s more interesting to watch what’s happening with extremely modern economies like those found in Northern Europe.”

What do you mean by “modern?” From my understanding, nothing Europe is doing is new. Bits and pieces of their policy can be found in other countries. For instance, universal health coverage existed in Cuba before Europe. The high taxes have existed in other countries, as well. Just curious. I know a lot of people here call California “progressive” and “ahead” of the rest of the US, when in reality their policy is influenced by legislation in countries such as Canada.

More like moronic; let us not delude ourselves that most of them have ideas.

^Then let’s also not delude ourselves with the idea that most adults are open to change and capable of being progressive

…Do you know how stupid that made you sound Vanagandr?

anarcho-capitalism is equally ■■■■■■■■, and a shocking number of educated people support either that or marxism.

i think that well-educated people just want a system where proles will die.

That seems to be the working definition of “■■■■■” on this forum.

Itachirumon of perfidious California - You attacked how stupid I allegedly sounded, not how stupid I allegedly am. How facile!

I shall expound - from observation, and from history, the majority of people tend not to think for themselves, and instead mimic what they hear, and what they are told. It would not be so troublesome if their epistemology were not rooted in their imaginations.

How fortunate for leaders that men do not think - Hitler
Men willingly believe what they wish. - Caesar

Even in Harry Potter…

Don’t argue with Van. He’s not even human. It’s pointless and he’s right. He’s the cold wash of the forum, so he gets a lot of young people down.

hahahahahaha holy ****. :)

That’s what she said.
