I am an incoming freshman at U of M, and I'm living in Mary Markley. I'm wondering what people can tell me about this dorm! Also, I have some questions: are there sinks in the rooms, and do they have the big closets like in south quad (stayed there for orientation)? Also, is there mod furniture so I can have a loft? And would I need an Ethernet cord for Internet in my room, or does the wireless work well enough? So excited to be at U of M :)

I also wanted to ask about the available furniture at Mary Markley. Is any furniture provided in the rooms, and if so, what’s provided?

just lived in markley last year. no sinks in the room. closets are pretty much just a rack with a single shelf but that and the drawers were enough for me and most people but some girls might have trouble with space for clothes. yes u can loft. wireless works well but id still recommend having a cord. furniture is a desk with some shelves, drawers with some shelves, and a bed with a mattress, I’m pretty sure I’m not forgetting anything.

I always used wireless and never had a problem, you can mod into a loft and you kind of have to since the rooms are so small…
