<p>Has anyone received notification of receiving the $3000 per year scholarship for being a maryland distinguished scholar? I was hoping I would receive the scholarship as a semi-finalist, but haven't received any notifications after sending the email reply. Anyone else in the same boat?</p>

<p>I emailed the lady in charge, Ms. Costigan, and she said that we’d get confirmation of our awards in mid-June. The notification on the website is for the college choice form, I believe. It’s not made perfectly clear, though.</p>

<p>My daughter (finalist) was told via email LAST week that emails would be sent to those students receiving awards “hopefully at the end of the week.” We still haven’t heard a word, and nothing has been updated in the MD CAPS system.</p>
<p>Finally received the email last Friday with instructions on how to accept the award in MDCAPS (their online system). The scholarship is listed under awards and is split into two semesters. It also says you must respond within 3 weeks.</p>
